My paintings fuse form, color and ground into a smooth, unified surface which is illusionistic, an actuality that could not have been accomplished a generation ago. The thorough integration of my paintings’ elements results from my unique utilization of recent innovations (about fifteen years) in painting technology. This technology has expanded the potential of both oil and acrylic mediums, making unprecedented paintings possible. This possibility creates a new genre of painting, perhaps best identified as “New Method Abstraction.” |
